Lelong's Buyer Protection Program Policy
The following are the requirements to be eligible under Lelong's BPP:
- Initiate the claim no sooner than 30 days and no later than 45 days from the payment date.
- Buyer has to make a police report before submitting the claim to Lelong.my.
- Compensation will only be made to:
- The bank account details has to be the same as the Lelong.my member's details.
- No compensation will be made to other bank account holder who is not the same as the buyer's registered details in Lelong.my.
- Same credit card used for making the payment for the transaction.
- Buyer's information in their Lelong.my account should be complete and accurate at the time of the payment initiated.
- The buyer's fullname and MyKad details should be registered in Lelong.my when initiate the claim.
- Claim payment would be made only to the person whose name is as registered in Lelong.my.
- There is a limit of filing 1 claim per month with a lifetime of 3 claims per buyer from 3 different and unrelated sellers. If buyer has 2 transactions from the same seller, we will only proceed to process the claim with the highest of the transaction amount.
- For example:
2 transactions with the amount of RM300 (transaction No.1) and RM375 (transaction No.2) from the same seller, only the transaction with the highest amount, which is RM375(transaction No.2) is eligible for the claim. The transaction of RM300 (transaction No.1) would not be eligible for any claims.
Assuming the buyer has 3 transactions with a same seller, the 2nd & 3rd transaction from the same seller would not be eligible for claim. Only the 1st transaction with the highest amount will be eligible for the claim. No claims is allowed to be brought forward to the following month.
- Buyers are eligible for 3 claims only in their lifetime. All lifetime 3 claims refers to transactions involving 3 different and unrelated sellers.
- For example:
Previously the buyer has claimed 3 transactions from different sellers during the past, the 4th and claims thereafter would not be eligible for any claims as the maximum is 3 claims per lifetime.
- The Lelong.my's BPP Administrator will communicate with you and your seller during investigation of the claim. We always appreciate your prompt assistance. If you do not respond to a Lelong.my's BPP Administrator's request for information within 72 hours, Lelong.my's may elect to close the claim.
- Payment must be made in one single amount for the full price of the item. Items purchased with multiple payments (like a deposit followed by a final payment) do not qualify for any claim.
- Lelong.my shall have sole discretion to make all final decisions on any claim.
- Lelong.my reserves the right to modify or make amendments (or any part thereof), either temporarily or permanently, at any time or from time to time, with or without prior notice.
